Welcome to Qualimix
A resource hub developed as part of the ‘Lifecourse perspectives in studying youth transitions to adulthood: bridging qualitative and quantitative approaches’ project (YouthLife).
Welcome to Qualimix; a resource hub for qualitative and mixed methods approaches in life course research. On this website you can find a range of materials – including papers, presentations, podcasts, guest blogs and example projects – collated to help support and advance the design and conduct of qualitative and mixed methods research.
The hub forms part of the YouthLife project; a three-year European Union Twinning initiative designed to build methodological expertise in youth transition research from a life course perspective. The project focuses particularly on mixed methods research design and the bridging of qualitative and quantitative approaches. Led by the Institute of International Social Studies (IISS) at Tallinn University, the project comprises a consortium of researchers from the University of Bamberg, the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute, and the University of Southampton.
The resources on this website have been developed, produced and/or gathered by Professor Rosalind Edwards, Professor Ann Berrington and Dr Susie Weller from the University of Southampton, with support from the UK’s National Centre for Research Methods.
