As part of the YouthLife project, we have developed a series of podcasts focusing on qualitative longitudinal and mixed methods research practice. We have invited a range of international experts in the field to reflect on their careers and discuss the different research approaches, and methods of data generation and analysis they have employed, as well as any ethical issues encountered. Contributors have provided fascinating behind-the-scenes accounts of their research practice.
All episodes are available as part of the UK’s National Centre for Research Methods podcast series:
Johnny Saldaña on qualitative longitudinal research [November 2022].
Jane Gray on researching social change over time [December 2022].

Laura Camfield on undertaking cross-national mixed methods research [February 2023]
JD Carpentieri on qualitative research and theory [March 2023]
